The riad sits in the Dar El Bacha medina, one of the calmest and safest parts of the old city. From the door it is about a 10-minute walk to the Mellah — the historic Jewish quarter — and to the Slat Al Azama synagogue, the Miaara Jewish cemetery and the Place des Ferblantiers. You explore the heritage of Jewish Marrakech on foot, at your own pace, and return each evening to a private, quiet riad.

Kosher-friendly and observant-friendly

Riad Vendôme is observant-friendly. Kosher meals are available on request, prepared by a certified external kosher caterer — the riad kitchen itself is not kosher, so strictly observant guests are served exclusively by the certified caterer. We facilitate Shabbat (candles, a calm setting, lower-floor rooms on request), and several kosher restaurants are within reach in the medina. A simple breakfast (fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, sealed products) can be arranged. We keep it honest and practical, and never claim facilities we do not have.

Privatise the riad for your whole family (roots trips)

The strongest reason to choose Riad Vendôme for a roots trip is privatisation: the whole riad for your family alone. Twelve rooms host 33 to 36 guests, and up to 45 with our partner riad 100 m away (complementary rooms) — the scale that lets three generations travel together, share every meal, and celebrate in a place that is entirely yours. Neither a small riad nor an impersonal hotel can offer this.

Bar / Bat Mitzvah in Marrakech

A destination Bar or Bat Mitzvah on the land of your ancestors is one of the most meaningful ways to mark your child's 13 years. We privatise the riad, coordinate kosher catering through the certified caterer, and can arrange the ceremony at the Slat Al Azama synagogue nearby — followed by a festive evening, Judeo-Moroccan cuisine and time at the spa and hammam. Beyond Marrakech, we organise your complete Jewish Morocco itinerary. From your base at the riad, day trips reach Essaouira (the Chaim Pinto synagogue) and the Ourika valley in the Atlas. For a longer journey, we coordinate multi-city travel — Casablanca (the Museum of Moroccan Judaism), Fes (the Ibn Danan synagogue, a UNESCO site), Sefrou and Meknes — with accommodation, a licensed guide and transfers all arranged, and one single contact. Land arrangements are handled by us; flights are booked separately.

There are direct Tel Aviv–Marrakech flights (Arkia, seasonal, around 4 hours) and easy connections via Europe for travellers from the US, UK and Canada. Israeli passport holders need a visa; please check current schedules and requirements before booking. Airport transfers are arranged on request.
